Blackberry Pie

My wife & I live on a 5 acre piece of land. Blackberry bushes have taken over a good chunk of the property which means there are a LOT of blackberries! We decided to pick some & I made blackberry jam as well as vegan blackberry pie. Here are a few of my favorite shots :)

Heliotrope Ridge (Hike) - WA

My wife (Malissa) & I woke up this morning and decided that we should go for a hike. We took a look at the WTA (Washington Trails Association) website & read that the wildflowers were in full bloom at Heliotrope Ridge (near Mt. Baker). The hike was 5.5 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of 1400 ft which brought us up to 5100 ft.
